Although the Blueair Classic 280i is small and can be easily moved around the house， you won't be fooled by its size: the quality is excellent and the surface area of the filter is large. The Classic 280i is perfect for compact spaces such as bedrooms and smaller apartments. HEPASilent particle filter Classic 280i PA uses Blueair's unique HEPASilent™ technology， which captures up to 99.97% of airborne particles up to a size of 0.3 micrometers. This advanced filter captures virtually every particle present in the air: pollen， dust， pet dander， fungal spores， allergens， viruses and bacteria - and 99% of all PM2.5 particles. Enjoy clean， healthy air that is 99.97% pollution-free. Note: The Classic PA comes with a particle filter. If you have problems with odors and gases， we recommend the Classic 280i SM SmokeStop active carbon filter for best results. Built-in sensors With the intelligent air sensors in Blueair 280i you can measure， control and be aware of the quality of the indoor air. The sensors detect air pollution such as airborne particles， gases， volatile organic compounds and carbon dioxide. You can also receive real-time information about temperature and humidity on your smartphone/tablet. Sensors measure: - Temperature - Humidity - Hundreds of different types of ultra-small particles in the air (PM 2.5) - Volatile organic pollutants (VOC) such as paint dissolves， perfumes， detergents， formaldehyde and benzene - Carbon monoxide (CO²) (VOC-level equivalent) Quiet in use By using a unique combination of electrostatic and mechanical filtration， Blueair filters can use less dense filter media while maintaining high filtration efficiency.
